b. 1992
I am a ceramic artist from Norway, working primarily with figurative animal sculpture. My practice is material-based and sculptural, using clay as a way to reflect on the relationship between humans, animals, categorization, and power. I work with both single sculptures and grouped compositions, often in colored stoneware clay and at or near life scale. Organic animal bodies are combined with geometric structures, building on tensions between instinct, order and control.
Animals in my work function as metaphors for collective behavior, group mentality, echo chambers, and information overload. Through repetition, clustering, and sculptural rhythm, I explore how empathy, aversion, and attention are distributed both in human–animal relationships and in our digital environments.
